This section of the site is for longer pieces that are really songs rather than short chants. I will also add things here that are spoken runes. FYI: a spoken rune is a sequence of rhythmically spoken words or sounds that raise energy or alter consciousness. I use a lower bitrate on these to save bandwidth.

All Among The Barley
This is a song that we sing every year around the Autumn Equinox. We learned it from Holly Tannen. We think this version is by Swansea Jack, Welsh Group 1978. It is a traditional song with many versions and alternate lyrics. The voices in this recording Are James C. Welch and Ivo Dominguez Jr.
Lyrics
“All Among the Barley”
(We learned it from Holly Tannen. We think this version is by Swansea Jack, Welsh Group 1978)
Now is come September, the Hunter's moon begun
And through the wheaten stubble
is heard the frequent gun
The leaves are pale and yellow,
and kindling into red
And the ripe and bearded barley
is hanging down its head
All among the barley, who would not be blithe
When the ripe and bearded barley
is smiling on the scythe
The spring is like a young man
who does not know his mind
The summer is a tyrant of most ungracious kind
The autumn's like an old friend,
who loves one all she can
And she brings the bearded barley
to glad the heart of man
All among the barley, who would not be blithe
When the ripe and bearded barley
is smiling on the scythe
The wheat is like a rich man,
it's sleek and well-to-do
The oats are like a pack of girls,
laughing and dancing too
The rye is like a miser,
it's sulky, lean, and small
And the ripe and bearded barley
is monarch of them all
All among the barley, who would not be blithe
When the ripe and bearded barley
is smiling on the scythe
Now is come September, the Hunter's moon begun
And through the wheaten stubble
is heard the frequent gun
The leaves are pale and yellow,
and kindling into red
And the ripe and bearded barley
is hanging down its head
All among the barley, who would not be blithe
When the ripe and bearded barley
is smiling on the scythe
My Lady Moon
A story song about a moment of wonder betwixt and between.
Lyrics
“My Lady Moon”
Road weary and alone
I parked beneath a Rowan tree
To walk, to stretch,
to watch the Moon’s rising
My Lady Moon
clothed in veils of woven cloud
Her light lay like
a sword upon the waters
And the stars hung
from the trees like radiant fruit
The grasses were green flames
Dancing with the swaying breeze
While the wild rose sang
with fragrant cadence
Then I heard the screech of wheels
Parting worlds that once were one
Ripples from road tossed gravel
Scattered the sword of light
But headlights
Caught a fleeting form
And so I knew
Though I could not take up the sword
Nor pluck a starry fruit
I knew at least there were Elves
My Lady Moon
clothed in veils of woven cloud
Her light lay like
a sword upon the waters
And the stars hung
from the trees like radiant fruit

Our Hearts
A song for the change of the Ages and Aeons.
Lyrics
“Our Hearts”
I stand where the Maimed King did battle The Land lies barren and bare
Dire wolves howl and bone chimes rattle A poxed Moon poisons the air
I stand where stand the Goddess lies bleeding
The damn fool walks in a rage
Her cries go without heeding
My heart goes clothed in a cage
But now I will stand for it no more
But now I will stand for it no more
Now this cycle is ending
Love has filled me to the core
Now Dark and Light my heart are mending
The World's health we will restore
For magic is afoot
The Goddess is awake
And the Sidhe stir from under the Hill
Respect is due
The Lady of the Lake
And the Dancer by the rill
The Wheel turns again
The Moon still circles round
And the Sidhe stir from under the Hill
Our hearts are the treasures we've unbound
So live and love we will
So live and love we will
So live and love So mote it be

Battle Hymn of the Resistance
A song for our times by Gwendolyn Reece.
Lyrics
Battle Hymn of the Resistance
When we rise up and claim our power
The Good, it cannot fall.
We take up the shield of service
To defend the rights of all.
[Chorus]
We hear the call of duty.
We heed the Spirit’s Light.
We stand firm in compassion,
And work to set things right.
We defend the Constitution,
Rule of Law across the land.
When blind Justice, She is threatened
We will not let it stand.
[Chorus]
We hear the call of duty.
We heed the Spirit’s Light.
We stand firm in compassion,
And work to set things right.
We tend the Hearth of Kindness,
Soul of Democracy.
Welcome tired, poor, huddled masses
Yearning to breathe free.
[Chorus]
We hear the call of duty.
We heed the Spirit’s Light.
We stand firm in compassion,
And work to set things right.
Our Healer’s Cup we offer
To all souls who have need.
We work to heal our nation
Of hatred and of greed.
[Chorus]
We hear the call of duty.
We heed the Spirit’s Light.
We stand firm in compassion,
And work to set things right.
Our visionary garden blooms
With dreams we bring to birth,
Of what society can be
If we dare to love the Earth.
[Chorus]
We hear the call of duty.
We heed the Spirit’s Light.
We stand firm in compassion,
And work to set things right.
So rise up and claim your power
Together we will grow.
See America as we should be
And we will make it so.
[Chorus]
We hear the call of duty.
We heed the Spirit’s Light.
We stand firm in compassion,
and will make things right.

Bridget's Fires
Back in 2006, I got an email from Jera Runesinger of SerpentOak with lyrics and a midi file as a submission to the original chant website. Sadly, that was in the last gasp days of my old chant website.
So, I spent some time singing into Garageband and can came up with this in 2010 and posted it here in 2012.
Lyrics
Bridget’s Fires
May my Hearth glow bright. May my home be blessed. In the deep of night, may my sorrows find rest. When my weary eyes rest on the fires haze, Goddess lend your ear as these words I pray
Hearth and Head, Hands and heart, Bridget’s fires, within me burn. Hearth and Head, Hands and heart, Bridget’s fires, within me burn
May my thoughts burn pure till my goals I reach. May I live and learn from the lessons you teach. May I see your face in the fires bright rays. Goddess lend your ear as these words I pray
Hearth and Head, Hands and heart, Bridget’s fires, within me burn. Hearth and Head, Hands and heart, Bridget’s fires, within me burn
May my hands make things that are good and strong. May they heal and hold when the troubles are long. May I carve my life under Bridget’s gaze. Goddess lend your ear as these words I pray
Hearth and Head, Hands and heart, Bridget’s fires, within me burn. Hearth and Head, Hands and heart, Bridget’s fires, within me burn
May my heart beat strong when it’s cracked and torn. May it show no trace of the scars it has worn. May the light of love shine in darker days. Goddess lend your ear as these words I pray
Hearth and Head, Hands and heart, Bridget’s fires, within me burn. Hearth and Head, Hands and heart, Bridget’s fires, within me burn
